Import Journals Pre-Edit error - Transaction record is not marked as a Budget Amendment. Check Format

When importing a Budget Transfer/Amendment in the Import Journals program, the Pre-Edit report includes the following error:

Account   Transaction record is not marked as a Budget Amendment. Check Format.

• General Ledger

• Budgeting

• Import Journals

This error occurs if the Transaction Type column value on a journal import line is not set as B.

The Transaction Type on each line of your import file will have to be set as B in order to import that amount as a Budget Transfer/Amendment.

1. Open import file

2. Review each line to ensure that Transaction Type column fields are set to B

3. Save file

4. Close out of the Import Journals program, reopen it, and try your import again
