ESS Active Directory Login takes longer than non-Active Directory

Description of Issue

We have a DMZ ESS server setup to use mixed mode authentication and secure LDAP. The sign on process is taking 70 seconds for our AD users. It takes only a second or two for users who have an ESS login and password. Is this normal and expected response for LDAP?

Cause

ESS Accounts that are AD linked are expected to take longer to login than non-AD linked accounts

Resolution

We suggest reviewing internally for any latency issues between the Active Directory server and the Munis database server
