How to Refresh Excel Cubes for Munis

Description of Issue

How do I get today's data in Cubes?

Context
  • Microsoft Excel Cubes
  • Munis
  • SAAS
  • OnPrem
  • Refresh
Cause

Cubes pulls data once a day by design. Tyler Systems Management typically schedules this to run at 4 am daily.

Resolution
  1. Login to the server where Cubes is installed
    1. Launch Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
      1. Click the Connect button at lower left of the pop up window
    2. Expand SQL Server Agent
      1. Expand Jobs
      2. Right click on the cubes for the Munis environment you are refreshing
      3. Select Start Job at Step
        1. Click on Start at the bottom of the pop up window

Note: You may pick a specific Cube (Payroll, Utility Billing, etc.) to refresh however it will also refresh every job in the list. Typically you would choose the default: Step 1

Additional Information

SaaS Clients do not have access to the Cubes Server and should reach out to Tyler Systems Management for the refresh.
