Where is the File Layout for the ID Import option in myCalPERS Participants?

Unable to find any detail on the ID Import option in the myCalPERS Participants program.

Cause

The import process is not a Munis process. This is a CalPERS process that was designed to accommodate a file that CalPERS created and provided to employers in order to assign the new CalPERS ID (replacing SSN). Their layout is detailed in their CalPERS ID File Exchange Layout document.

Resolution

Page 2 of the CalPERS ID File Exchange Layout document provides you with the background and the file requirements. The CalPERS layout is available in their technical toolkit here: https://www.calpers.ca.gov/page/employers/mycalpers-technical-requirements/technical-resources

It is a csv file and should contain the fields noted in that layout, rather than being mapped to a Munis Forms Definition layout.

You will need to follow the CalPERS file layout exactly, and note that fields in CalPERS Participants that only serve a Munis purpose will not be able to be populated through the import.
