You do not have privileges to post the current journal when posting BUA

• When attempting to post a BUA that puts an account overbudget, a budget check pops up: Available budget amount of XXX.XX exceeded for Account: XXXX-XXXX You do not have privileges to post the current journal

• User has GL permission to override budget amounts

• Budget check is a hard stop; clicking OK closes message and says Current journal post cancelled

• Budget Transfers and Amendments 

• Accounting Entries

• User Attributes

• The budget permission 'Bypass over budget conditions at the time of posting' is set to Never

• This permission is specifically for Budget Amendments

In order to post a BUA that puts an account overbudget, the Bypass over budget conditions at the time of posting permission must be set to Always or Override with Warning. 

System Administration > Security > User Attributes

1. Search for user receiving the error

2. Click on the Role you wish to update and then click Edit Role

3. Click Budget

4. Click Update

5. Select Always or Override with warning from the dropdown next to 'bypass over budget conditions at the time of posting'

6. Click Accept to save changes

7. Have user retry posting the BUA
