Where to find unposted general journals

Context

Cause

Resolution

To locate unposted general journals, there are three primary options:

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry/History > General Journal Entry/Proof 

  1. From the ribbon, select Browse

  2. Choose option

  3. Click Accept

  4. Locate unposted journal

    1. From here the journals can be released, posted, or deleted as needed.

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Journal Entry/History > Accounting Entries

  1. Select GENERAL JOURNAL, BUDGET AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS, or ENCUMBRANCE ENTRY

  2. This will display all journals that the current user has access to view for GL keyed Actuals, Budget, or Encumbrance transactions

Financials> General Ledger Menu> End of Period> Month End Manager

  1. In Month End Manager, select the number in the Unposted Journals column in the appropriate period.

  2. Click on Proof Journals.

  3. Select the GEN journal number to bring you to the journal in General Journal Entry/Proof.
