Cannot see paycheck information in ESS

Description of Issue
  • Employee(s) cannot see paycheck information in ESS
  • Users cannot see paycheck images in Employee Self Service (ESS)
  • Paychecks appear in TCM and Munis, but they are not visible in ESS
  • Pay checks from most recent payroll do not appear in ESS
Context

  • Payroll Control Settings
Cause
  • The Payroll Control Setting for Check Display Restricted by Check Date is set to 'Yes' and the Check Date of the payroll is in the future
  • The user is not configured to view check stub information
Resolution
  • To review for the Payroll Control Setting
    1. Navigate in Munis to the program Payroll Control Setting
      • Menu → Human Capital Management → Payroll → Payroll Setup → Payroll Control Settings
    2. Search for the record entitled ESS Check Display Restricted by Check Date
    3. If this value is set to Y - Yes then the check image is restricted by Check Date
    4. If this value is set to N - No then the checks image is available the moment they are printed
  • To review for the User Permission in ESS you must log in as an administrator to ESS
    1. Navigate to the Employee's user account in ESS
      • ESS → Administration → User Administration → Search for user → Edit → Employees → View Check Stub Information
    2. Check this box, which allows specific users to see paycheck information
