- The file is recommended to be saved as a .CSV (comma delimited) file.Â
- Go to the Salary Tables program (Human Resources>Position Control and Budgeting>Salary Tables) (Also can be done within Projection Start and Status > Salary Tables)
- Click Import in the toolbar.Â
- Click Custom Templates.
- Click Create Template.Â
- Define the New Template fields:
- Template Layout should default as Multi-line
- Define a Name for the Template
- File Delimiter is Other, then define a comma (,) in the field next to Other.Â
- Click Browse to select the file.
- Leave both First line Contains Headers and Attempt Field Matching Based on headers unchecked.Â
- Click Upload.Â
- Under Line Detail, click the drop down and select Header.Â
- In the first Column select Record Type.Â
- Back in the header section, in the Value field, type in Header.Â
- Select all the drop downs to define all the Header fields (Action Flag, Effective Date, Group BU, Description, Pay Band, Grade/Rank, Pay Basis, etc.)
- Once all header columns are defined, go back to the Line Type drop down and choose Detail.Â
- The first Column choose Record Type from the drop down.Â
- Back in the header section, in the Value field, type in Detail.
- Select all the drop downs to define all the Detail fields (Step/Level, Hourly Rate, Daily Rate, Period Salary, Annual Salary)
