  1. Using Duplicate in Position Control is intended to create a new instance of the same record, with a new effective date
    • An example scenario would be when needing to update the General Ledger account information or the Supervisor
  2. Using Generate in Position Control is intended to create entirely new Position Control records
    • An example scenario would be when needing to create new and unique Position Control codes
