Annual deduction limit wasn't enforced in payroll

Description of Issue

We set an employee withholding, annual limit and Munis didn't enforce the limit in payroll.

Cause

The employee limit was defined in the employee annual amount field instead of the employee limit field on the Employee Deduction record and the Deduction and Benefit Master record.

Resolution

Update the Deduction and Benefit Master:

  1. Access Deduction and Benefit Master: Payroll > Payroll Setup > Deduction and Benefit Master
  2. Search on the deduction > click Update > delete the amount from the Employee Annual Amount field
  3. Enter the value in the Empe Limit field and click Accept

Update the Employee Deduction record:

  1. Access Employee Deductions: Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions
  2. Search on the employee and the deduction
  3. Search on the deduction > click Update > delete the amount from the Employee Annual Amount field
  4. Enter the value in the Empe Limit field and click Accept
Additional Information

Modification to the Employee Deduction record is only necessary if the employee has a unique limit to the Deduction and Benefit Master limit.
