Insurance deductions didn't pull into projection
Description of Issue
We have several insurance deductions that didn't pull into our projection, why didn't they pull in?

Cause
Insurance deductions that didn't pull into the projection were end dated prior to the projection start date.
Resolution
Manually update the end date
- Access Employee Deductions: Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions
- Search on the deduction record > click Update
- Enter an end date that is after the projection start date, or equal to the projection end date
- Click Accept
- Repeat for other impacted records
- Recreate the projection
Import deductions into the projection:
- Access Employee Deductions: Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions
- Search for the deductions that didn't pull into the projection and select the Excel output icon
- Enable the desired fields you wish to include on the import (at minimum must include employee number, deduction code, start date, and end date)
- Where these are insurance deductions also include the insurance carrier, coverage, plan and level
- add a header for Action at the end of the file and define with a value of A for each cell
- Access Employee Import from your projection: Human Resources > Position Control and Budgeting > Salary and Benefit Projections > Projection Start and Status > Salary Projection Processing > Projection Employee Import
- Click Custom Templates > New Template > > Employee Deduction Import > Click OK > enter a file name, select the flat file type
- Click Browse select the export file you created from Employee Deductions
- Enable the settings for First line contains headers and Attempt field matching based on headers > Click Upload
- Verify the column headers on the template match the column headers on the Excel file
- If they don't select the appropriate header from the drop-down to match the file
- Click Save
- Return to the Employee Import screen > click Define > Enable Employee Deduction Import > Select your template from the drop-down and select your import file > Enable First line contains headers > Click Accept
