Error: Start date must be after the employee accrual history

Description of Issue

Added an Employee Accrual Record, but used the wrong Accrual Date and Start Date, then deleted them from Employee Accruals, but when trying to add them back in was receiving the error "Start date must be after the employee accrual history (03/04/2020)".

Context
  • Munis
  • Employee Accruals
Resolution
  1. Click Human Resources/Payroll > Payroll > Accrual Processing > Employee Accruals
  2. Add Employee Accrual record for same type and table for the date after the history record. Click Accept.
  3. Click Delete. When prompted click Remove.
    1. This will delete the employee accrual record, including all history, for this accrual.
  4. Add the Employee Accrual Record with the correct Accrual Date and Start Date
Cause

Start date on history record was after the start date of the record the client was trying to add. Recommended that the existing history is exported into Excel to save it prior to deleting:

  1. Access Employee Accruals: Payroll > Accrual Processing > Employee Accruals
  2. Click History > Click Search > enter the employee number and the accrual type > click Accept
  3. Click the Excel output option in the ribbon
