Flat Amount Pay Shows Twice in Retro Pay

Flat Amount Pay Shows Twice in Retro Pay

Description of Issue

After adding a Retro Job or Position Change in Job Salary, after Generating Retro Pay, the Flat Amount Pay Codes- Calc Code 60, shows up twice in Process Retro Pay.

Context
  • Payroll

  • Payroll Processing

  • Process Retro Pay

Cause

Because Job or Position changed Mid Payroll, the system adds the Flat Amount Pay Code to Retro Pay for dates before and after the Mid Cycle change, so there are two instances.

Resolution

In Payroll> Payroll Processing> Process Retro Pay, in Edit Retro Pay, click Update, set Amount to zero for the instance of the Pay Code you do not need, or update them both to equal desired amount before and after Mid Cycle Change and Accept. Pay code will be there twice, once with Date before the Mid Cycle Change, once with Date after Mid Cycle Change.

Additional Information

Work ticket MUN-490710 for Version 2021.12 and Up will be adding a message in Retro Pay Detail with information as to why multiple instances of Flat Amount Pay exists and options to address them.
