Load Balanced Application Server Setup Requirements

Description of Issue

What requirements are needed to setup and configure a server for load balancing?

Context

Resolution

Load Balancers must be setup within the client's network by a local admin before the scheduled engagement provide the following information:

Virtual Internet Protocol (VIP) of the Load Balancer
Load Balancer Domain Name System (DNS)
Both Application Servers online
Anti-Virus (AV) set to stand-by status
Firewall rules need to be in place prior to engagement unless internal traffic isn't being blocked
Persistence Method needs to be selected in Load Balancer configuration
Timeout Threshold needs to be set to a minimum of 43,200 seconds (12 hours)
Product needs to be set up with TID-W before engagement
A point of contact in case additional requests come up
