What years and periods an be posted to in the system?

• General Journal Entry/Post (GEN, GCR)
• Encumbrance Journal Entry/Post (GEL)
• Budget Transfer and Amendments (BUA)
• Accounting Entries

• System by design does not allow prior year 2 data entry as it is fully hard closed and cannot be accessed except for unload journal history, reload journal history and purge programs
• Prior year has already been through audits

System allows prior year 1, current system year and next year 1 data entry

• What happens when a general journal is posted to prior year period 13
• Prior year 1 allows budget periods  1-12, actuals period 13 and support has utility to enter encumbrance GEL period 13
  • Encumbrance Journal Posting in Last Year
• Current Year allows budget periods 1-12, actuals periods 0-13 and encumbrance periods 1-12
• Next Year allows budget periods 1-12, actuals periods 0-13 and encumbrance periods 1-12
