- I need an Encumbrance Entry for Last Year, but receive message that only current or next year are valid.
- Would like to create Prior year (PY) encumbrance journal (GEL)

Cause
Incorrect journal amounts in prior year caused by:
- Failed Encumbrance Journal Posting
- Incorrect GEL journal created
Resolution
Users cannot post Encumbrance journals into prior year.

Additional Information
Encumbrance amounts should be zero after Year End Close.
