Boat Abatements Not Automatically Calculating
Description of Issue
When an abatement for a boat excise bill (category 40) is entered, the abatement amount does not automatically calculate.Â

Cause
There is no registration date on the boat record.Â
Resolution
- When entering an abatement for a category 40 boat bill and using action date as the calculation method, the boat billed needs to have a registration date on file to calculate the abatement amount correctly. There are two ways to get the abatement amount to calculate automatically. A registration date can be added to the boat so that the abatement amount calculates correctly using the action date method or the calculation method can be changed to months.Â
