User Activity Log in Munis

Description of Issue
  • I want to see what programs a user is accessing in Munis.

  • We need to audit user access to making any changes to a settings page

  • Is it possible to audit or log user activity

Context
  • System Administration

  • General Administration

  • Program Activity Log

Cause

If logging is enabled, the Program Activity Log in Munis will track which program a user has launched and the start/end time.

Resolution
  1. From the Munis menu, open Program Activity Log (System Administration > General Administration > Program Activity Log)

  2. Click Search

  3. Enter desired search parameters

    1. Ex: User ID and/or Program ID

  4. Click Accept

Alternate method

  1. From the Munis menu, open Diagnostic Utility and Run-Time Information (System Administration > General Administration > Diagnostic Utility and Run-Time Information)

  2. Click the Activity tab

  3. Search by user and date range (open searches work as well)

  4. Review the Recent Menu Activity and Program Activity tabs

Additional Information

The default logging level is set to 0 - No Logging

To enable logging:

  1. Open Program Activity Log

  2. Click Set Logging Level

  3. Change the selection to 2 - Standard with Detail

  4. Click OK
