TCM HTML5 Viewer Grayscale Scans Not Legible And All Pages Removed As Blank

Description of Issue

When scanning into TCM  with the HTML5 Viewer using grayscale setting, pages are barely legible. When Auto-Remove blank pages is selected all pages are identified as blank and not scanned.

Context

  • Tyler Content Manager (TCM)

  • Munis ERP

  • HTML5 Viewer

Cause

Scanner brightness setting are set too high resulting in barely visible text. Low visibility in the text causes Auto-Remove blank pages feature to identify all pages as blank.

Resolution

  1. When scanning into TCM, under the TCM HTML5 Viewer, Open Scanner Settings configuration window, indicated by the small cog wheel above the scanner icon on the top bar.

  2. Check Show Scanner Dialog option

  3. Click OK

  4. Scan a document

  5. When the Scanner Dialog Window opens, navigate to the Brightness tab and adjust level down to the middle. Then save the setting.

  6. Scan a document to test. IF successful you can Uncheck Show Scanner Dialog option from step 3
