File upload failed the pdf contains invalid header data

Description of Issue

Error when attempting to upload a TCM invoice attachment.

Getting File upload failed: The pdf contains invalid header data when trying to import a PDF to TCM

Context
  • Enterprise ERP

  • Content Manager

Cause

Resolution

If this is only happening with one single PDF, please try converting the PDF to a newly saved file as it may be corrupt.

  1. Open the PDF outside of TCM

  2. Navigate to File Print > instead of selecting a printer, choose Microsoft Print to PDF or Adobe PDF. This will convert/save the PDF as a new file. 

  3. Attach the newly saved file to TCM and test again.
