Change Town or Precinct on a Tax Bill

Need to change or update the Town/Prec on a Tax Bill. 

• Property Tax Billing
• Bill Adjustments (txblgnmt)

The Town or Precinct on a Tax Bill needs to be changed or updated.  

1. Navigate to the Bill Adjustments program either by searching or via the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Collection Processing > Bill Adjustments
2. Click Search.
3. Click General. 
4. Enter the Bill (number), AR category, and Year. 
5. Click Accept. 
6. Click Update. 
7. Enter the desired 4 character code in the Town/Prec field. (Note: These codes are created and maintained in the Jurisdiction Codes program. For more information, please see: Create or Add Jurisdiction Code for Tax Billing)
8. Click Accept. 
9. Repeat steps 2-8 for each bill as necessary.
