MV Abatements or Activity not hitting GL

GL Posted Abatements did not create a journal and are not reflecting on the GL.

• Property Tax Billing
• Abatements
• Motor Vehicles
• Tax Settings (txparmnt)

There are many possible causes for this issue. A known and common cause is that the Tax Settings are not set up for MV activity to update the GL.

To turn updating the GL on for MV, follow the steps in: How to turn GL On or Off for Motor Vehicle Tax

This will not update any of the previously entered MV abatements or activity that have already been GL Posted. Those can either be corrected by reversing and re-entering each abatement or by making a manual  journal entry.
