Account Import - Object is Invalid Error

When attempting a General Ledger Account Import, the following error shows on the error report:

Object is invalid

• General Ledger

• Account Import

• Chart Of Account Segments

• Chart Manager

The Object code listed on the import file does not exist in your EERP system. 

Using the GL Account Import error/warning error report confirm that the Object code listed on your import file exists in either the Chart of Account Segments program, or the Chart Manager program. 

• Enterprise ERP > Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Chart of Account Segments

• Enterprise ERP > Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Chart Manager

Search through either program for one of the Object codes that errors as invalid. If the Object code does not exist in the system, it must be added prior to importing through the Account Import program. 

The object code values listed in the import file must match exactly to how they are defined in the system. This includes leading zeroes. 

• Import files should be saved as type .xlsx

• Format any columns in your import file that need to keep leading zeroes as Text
