Louisiana City Import Charge Code not found



Description of Issue

LA City Import verification errors during import.

Cause

Code within the import file does not exist in the Charge Codes program.



Resolution

The City Import Error Report will provide the Charge code that does not exist in your system. First position of the Property Id on the error report indicates whether the missing charge code is Real Estate or Personal Property. Solution is to Add the missing charge code. 

  • 1 = RE - Category 20

  • 2 = PP - Category 25

  1. Navigate to: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > South > Louisiana > Billing Setup > Charge Codes

  2. Search for the category and Charge Code referenced. 

  3. Click Add, to create a new Charge Code.

  4. Return to the City Import and rerun. Note: the City Import will delete the previously imported records, and import a clean set of records from the Import file.
