I want to be able to track retirement Tier in obsolete NY Employee Retirement Maintenance

With the way we need to treat those with OT in Tiers 5 and 6 we put what tier the employee is in the old retirement section to use as a key to place them in the correct place for annual reporting and payroll to see if they have passed the yearly limit. Once the Maintenance program is gone the reporting codes section does not have a field for tier and should be added to accommodate reporting.

NYSLRS reporting replaces the NY Employee Retirement Maintenance and NY Employee Retirement RS2402 Report programs.

Recommendation is to use the User Defined Fields functionality for this instead, which would allow you to see the Tier from the User Defined tab in Employee Master.

Will NYSLRS Enhanced Reporting make NY Employee Retirement Maintenance program obsolete
