  • You do not have permissions to view Special Conditions/Notes error when attempting to view a record with a Special Condition/Note.

Context
  • Accounts Receivable

  • Special Conditions/Notes (arspcfmt)

  • Roles (sprolemt)

  • User Attributes (sprousrm)

Cause

Previously, users were able to access/view special condition note through other programs without having role access.  A recent update made it so that only users with Menu Security > Role Access can view special condition notes.

Resolution

System admin needs to grant role access under the menu security tab in the Roles program. This can be done by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the User Attributes program either by searching or via the following path: System Administration > Security > User Attributes

  2. Search for the role that you would like to add access to

  3. Click on the Effective Permissions tab

  4.  Click the Edit Role button near the bottom of the screen

  5. Click the Menu Security tab

  6. Double click on the General Revenues line

  7. Double click the Accounts Receivable line

  8. Double click the Setup line

  9. Click the Edit button

  10. Check off Role Access next to Special Conditions/ Notes

  11. Click Accept
