After upgrade users have SY_RPT_VW_FULL role

Description of Issue

  • After upgrade to Munis 2018 all users now have a reporting role

  • After their upgrade to 2018.1 all users have roles SY_RPT_VW_FULL or SY_RPT_VW_LIMITED

  • Does the migrated role SY_RPT_VW_FULL function the same as the old Tyler Reporting Services screen?

Cause

Prior to 2017.1 Tyler Reporting data access was maintained, by user, in the Tyler Reporting Services program. In versions 2017.1 and above, Tyler Reporting Services data access is maintained in Roles.



Resolution

These ROLE names are generated during an upgrade since reporting view permission were added to roles (prior to 2017.1 they were separate). Users with full permissions from sprviews should have received the FULL auto generated role. Anyone else with explicit permissions should have had a custom numbered role assigned replicating their prior permissions.
