How To Schedule Munis Scheduler Maintenance Window



Description of Issue

Daily Maintenance windows ensure Scheduler reliability by placing scheduler into shutdown during certain hours which would otherwise cause the scheduler status to become misaligned by server reboots/restarts/maintenance

Cause

Necessary for all clients who utilize the Munis Scheduler



Resolution
  1. Login to Munis 

  2. Launch the Scheduler Queue program:

    1. Select System Administration>Scheduler Administration>Scheduler Queue

  3. Select Scheduler tab in top left of screen

    1. Then launch Properties

  4. Change the For daily maintenance option to Shutdown

    1. Add desired maintenance window to fields

      1. Generally time will be between 00:01:00 to 04:00:00

  5. Click Accept in top left

    1. Choose Yes when prompted if you would like to restart the engine
