How To Void or Cancel a Tax Title
A tax title needs to be voided, cancelled, or transferred back to Category 20 from Category 23.Â

The tax title was either created in error or other circumstances require the title to be voided.Â
Navigate to: Munis → Property Revenues → Property Tax Billing → Northeast → Your State → Tax Title Processing/Reports or Lien Processing/Reports → Void TitlesÂ
Void Titles can also be found using the search bar.Â
In Void Titles, click Define.Â
Enter the original year for the title to be voided (Note: The year must be the original or starting year for the title even if a subsequent year is being voided).Â
Enter the title number for the title to be voided.Â
The parcel information should fill in automatically.Â
Click Void in the top ribbon.Â
Click Define in the top ribbon of the Void Screen.Â
Enter the specific title year to be voided if only one year of the title needs to be voided. Leave the year field blank to void the whole title.Â
 Enter an Effective Date.Â
Enter Reason for Void.Â
Choose a Adjustment reason from the dropdown menu.
Enter a GL Effective date.Â
Click Accept.Â
Click Output-Post in the top ribbon.Â
Choose the desired print or save specifications.Â
A message appears, No errors detected. Post the void?Â
If the void is correct, click Yes. If the void is wrong, click No to start over.Â
If yes was chosen, a message displays, Post Complete.Â
