Add an Adjustment reason code for voiding titles
Description of Issue
A tax title needs to be voided and a new Adjustment reason code for the void needs to be added.
Context
- Property Tax Billing
- Titles
- Void Titles (ttvoidti)
- Exemption Codes (arexdmnt)
Cause
An Adjustment reason code has either never been added or a new code is required.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Exemption Codes program either by searching or via the following path: Property Revenues > Region > State > Assessor Setup > Exemption Codes
- Click Add.
- Enter the desired Code.
- Enter a Description.
- Enter a Short description.
- Choose Tax Billing as the Module.
- Leave Group blank.
- Do not check Totally exempt.
- Choose Amount as the Method.
- Set the Amount/percent to 0.
- Set the Maximum amount to 0.
- Do not enter an Account.
- Choose Adjustment as the Type.
- Choose Principal/Tax as the Applies to.
- Make no other selections or entries.
- Click Accept.
- Re-open the Void Titles program. The new Adjustment reason code will be available for use.
