Add permission to enter prior period budget amendment

Where/how do I add permissions to key a prior period for a budget amendment?

User needs to enter a transaction in a period before the default period.

In the User Attributes program, add the General Ledger permission of Override accounting period or Allow transactions in periods prior to the default period (specify number of periods).

System Administration > Security > User Attributes

1. Search for user

2. Highlight relevant role.  Any changes to a role will impact all users in the role.

3.  Click Edit Role below the roles.

4. Select General Ledger folder.

5. Click Update.

6. Select Override accounting period or

7. Adjust number of periods for Allow transactions in periods prior to the default   

8. Accept
