Description of Issue

Cannot open import file. Additional info: Error calling ExcelConversionService.convertToXmlTempFile(): Failed to import Excel file. Internal Server Error. Check error log for more info.

Context
  • Project Journal Entry/Proof (PAC)
  • Project Journal Import
  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
Cause

Servers do not normally have Excel installed that include drivers so system knows how to handle file format .xlsx

Resolution
  • Use a user workstation that has Excel installed to perform the action
  • IT could choose to install Excel on server (site decision)
