ID Tech Minimag IDRE-335133 card reader is getting the error: USB device not recognized

Cause

The ID Tech Minimag IDRE-335133B card reader is only compatible with BridgePay and must be acquired through BridgePay to be properly encrypted.

Resolution
  • Purchase the ID Tech Minimag IDRE-335133B through BridgePay
  • If a different payment vendor is being used that is a non-P2PE provider, only the ID Tech IDMB-335133B MiniMag II will work.
    • ID Tech IDMB-335133B MiniMag II will only work with Cashiering up to version 2019.3. Newer versions require an encrypted device.
