Life Insurance Deductions Missing from Employee Benefits Enrollment

Life Insurance Deductions Missing from Employee Benefits Enrollment

Description of Issue

Life Insurance deductions missing from Employee Benefits Enrollment record

Context
  • Munis

  • Employee Self Service

  • ESS

  • Employee Benefits Enrollment

Cause

User did not build current year elections for all employees

Resolution

When Open Enrollment is posted, it only builds the elections that the employee actually made in ESS. However, if you generate Build Current Year Elections after the fact, it looks to Employee Deductions and compares that info to Enrollment Choices.

So, if there is a deduction/benefit the employee already had and continues to have into the new enrollment year (outside of open enrollment), the build current year elections will build that election ONLY IF there is a corresponding Enrollment Choice.

Additional Information

Please reach out to Munis Human Resources Support with any additional questions
