Description of Issue

How to import PAC journals for Project Ledger 

Context
  • Project Journal Entry/Proof (PAC)
  • Project Journal Import
  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
Cause

Large journals are cumbersome to manually entry and import is preferred

Resolution
  1. Browse to Munis > Financials > General Ledger Menu > Project Accounting > Project Ledger > Projects/Inquiry > Project Journal Entry/Proof
  2. Excel Import
  3. Define
  4. Use import file magnifying glass icon on right hand side to browse to file
    • Browse to and select file
    • Drag and Drop file into pop up window
      • Ensure the file path or name is not so long it is cut off and you can see the Excel.xlsx file extension
  5. Enter needed Effective Date, Short Description required fields and Journal Reference if needed.
  6. Accept
  7. Import
    • Close prompt if successful
    • Review detail error report if any issues
      • Make needed data file corrections and try again at step 3
  8. Back
  9. Now PAC journal can be manually updated, released or output posted as needed from the main Project Journal Entry/Proof screen
