Payroll Positive Pay File is not displaying Custom Header



Description of Issue
  • The Custom Header for our Positive Pay File is not creating on the file for our Payroll Checks. 

  • We are using a WF-Wells Fargo Positive Pay File Format in the Check Register screen in payroll but the header is not displaying in the file.

Cause

The Record Length Field was defined with 0.



Resolution
  1. When in the Check Register step in Payroll, click Custom Header in the toolbar.

  2. Click Define

  3. Define the appropriate Record Length. 

    1. In this case it was 40 needed for format WF - WELLS FARGO BANK ARP STANDA.

  4. Click Accept. Click Back

  5. Recreate the File and verify the header is correct.
