Job Opening defaulting in information

When a supervisor adds a job opening and then releases the opening to our recruiter and then the recruiter tries to update the requisition with job class and position number info that once entered it doesn't populate the location, group, and salary fields?

Using the Update function will not trigger the same logic to have the default values flow down into the record.

In order to have fields Location and Group/Bu be automatically entered you must define the Job Class (and Position if used) during the Add of the record.
