Permission to view unposted journals created by other users

Description of Issue

User is not able to browse and view others' journal entries in General Journal Entry/Proof program.

Cause

User does not have General Ledger permission of View others' journal entries.

Resolution

To grant the user permission to view other's journal entries:

System Administration > Security > User Attributes

  1. Click Search, and enter the User's ID

  2. Click Accept, and this will bring up the user's Roles

  3. Highlight Role to edit, then click Edit Roles (may affect multiple users)

  4. Click the General Ledger folder

  5. Click Update

  6. Select View others' journal entries

  7. Accept
