Exporting and Importing Printer Definitions in Munis
Description of Issue
How do I copy printer definitions to a non-production environment?
Context
- Munis
- SaaS
Cause
The client needs their printer definitions exported before a refresh and then imported after the refresh is completed
Resolution
- Find the Application Server for the appropriate environment.
- Listed on the SaaS Client information page
- Found on the Site Report
- Can be found using the Accio tool
- Connect to the Application Server using Remote Desktop Manager.Â
- Open File Explorer and navigate to E:\Temp\mu#### (replace #### with their site number).
- If this folder doesn't already exist create it now.
- Open their Munis Environment
- Using the SSO client or Dashboard links
- Navigate to System Update
- System Administration>Miscellaneous Administration>System Update
- Click Define Update Options, enter spsequel, and click Run System Update.
- If you are using a web browser to access this environment make sure popups are enabled.Â
- In spsequel, click Define in the top right of the screen.
- In the field labeled: Location of Source/Target Directory enter E:\Temp\mu#### (replacing #### with their site number)
- In the field labeled: 1. Name of table to unload, enter spprintr
- Click Accept
- Click Unload_Table(s)
The tables should be unloaded in a spprintr.unx file in the specified directory.Â
Now complete the refresh if needed.
To load the tables back in:
- Repeat steps 1-9 as described above.
- In the field labeled: Delete all data prior to load? Enter Y
- Click Accept
- Click Load_Table(s)
