Cannot Process, Release or Approve Payments

Description of Issue

When releasing a payment you receive the following error, Error: Failed to get this message to your SMTP server for delivery. The utility program (sendemail.wsf) generated an error:   ERROR: 12304: The specified sender address is invalid or not recognized Recipient



Context

Cause

The From address configured does not have Send As permissions for the account logging into the email server. 



Resolution

If this is a customer hosted email server they will have to either change the From address being used in payment processing or have their email administrator update the settings in their mail server giving the user send as permissions. If using the Tyler Hosted SaaSmail server, the only allowed reply address is noreply@tylertech.com.



Additional Information

Updating the from address to match the SMTP Server User ID shown in System Administration > General Administration > System Settings > Email will usually be a quick, easy work around. Doc Origin Users may need to contact Tyler Forms to have that address updated.
