Cause

An Org code has not been defined for the segment combination used in the new target accounts

User is not set to automatically generate new Org codes

Resolution

Site has two options: create an Org code for the segment combination used in the new accounts or have the user set to automatically generate new Org codes.

If the site wants to create a new Org code, this can be completed in either Chart of Accounts Segments or Chart Manager.

Enterprise ERP > Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Chart of Accounts Segments

  1. In the GL Segment dropdown, select Organization Code

  2. Accept

  3. Click Add in the top ribbon

  4. Define the Org code

  5. In the Segments section, define each segment to be used for the new Org code

  6. Fill in the remaining fields and define how the Org calculates available budget.

  7. Accept

Enterprise ERP > Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Chart Manager

  1. Select the Organization tab

  2. Click the blue Add Organization hyperlink

  3. Define the new Organization code, descriptions, and how the code calculates available budget

  4. Define the segments used in the new Org code

  5. Click the Save button

Once the new Org code has been created that is defined by all the segments being used in the new accounts, the user can run Account Mass Creation to create the new accounts.

If the site would like to have the user set to automatically create new Org codes when creating accounts, please contact Enterprise ERP General Ledger Support for assistance.
