Unable to delete an account in Account Master because of a Funds Due Transaction Type record

When attempting to delete an account in the Account Master program, the following error occurs:

The selected account cannot be deleted.
There are existing transactions associated with this account.
Click OK to generate a report of these transactions.

After clicking OK, the report displays and shows at least one record where the Transaction Type is Funds Due.

• Account Master
• Due To Due From (DTDF)
• Delete
• Error Message

This error occurs when the Fund associated with this account is included in at least one Due To/Due From record.

1. Go to Financials>General Ledger Menu>Set Up/Chart Of Accounts>Due To/Due From Setup
2. Click Search
3. Click Accept without entering anything
4. Click Browse
5. This will display all Due To/Due From records in your system
6. Locate any record with this account's Fund included in it
7. These record(s) will have to be deleted in order to resolve this error when deleting the account

Records cannot be deleted if they are referenced in other programs, once that relationship no longer exists the record can be removed
