Resolution
  • Retirement transactions have some additional functionality that Disposal transactions don't offer. Retirement transactions offer the option to partially retire by a percentage, and assets that have been retired for two or more years can be permanently removed from the system through the Purge Retired Assets program.
  • Sites will often use Retirement transactions for assets that have been taken out of active use but are still in their possession, while Disposal transactions are often used when an asset has been sold, donated, scrapped, etc.
