Some Processing Error Has Occurred with Java NullPointerException using Work Limits

When trying to open Time Balancing to move time to payroll, receive Some processing error has occurred message on screen and the server log has ErrorProcessingRequest.: java.lang.NullPointerException message.

Known defect caused by having a daily work limit set on an employee's record.

Defect is tracked under XTSP-1245. Current workaround is to remove the Work Limit altogether or to change the Work Limit type to Weekly.

1. Navigate to System Admin > Policies & Rules Engine > Work Limits.
2. To delete the work limit, click the Delete (circle with the line) button next to any work limit with a daily duration.
   1. On the confirmation screen, click Yes (Note: This will remove all attachments of the work limit for employees, including in history.)
3. To update the work limit, click the Edit (pencil) button next to any work limit with a daily duration.
   1. Update the Total Duration Units to Weekly or Pay Period. 
   2. Click Save.
4. Navigate back to Time Balancing and process the payroll as desired.
