Manufacturer is assigned to an existing asset and cannot be deleted

Error received when attempting to delete manufacturer code:

Manufacturer: (XXX) XXX is assigned to an existing asset and cannot be deleted.

Capital Assets

Manufacturer code is linked to an asset

1. In the New Assets program, click Search

2. Populate Manufacturer field with code that needs to be deleted and click Accept

3. On each of the returned records, use the Update function to update or remove the code from the asset

4. Repeat steps 1-3 from Adjustments and Retirements
