Setup VA Decal Proration to generate the decal vehicle is owned on Jan 1st

How should the MV Decal proration be setup to only charge a decal fee when a vehicle was owned starting Jan 1st?

• Decals

1. Navigate to Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > South > Virginia > Setup > Tax Year Settings

2. Search for the desired Personal Property record using the Year, AR Category 25, and Cycle/Comm

3. Select Proration from the Ribbon

4. Select Add

5. Choose Decal from the Type drop down

6.  Set the Method field to Biannually and the Qualification type to Specific day

7. Set the Segments as follows

   • Segment 1

     • State Date = 01/01/XXXX

     • End Date  = 01/02/XXXX

     • Qualifying Date = 01/01/XXXX

     • Percent  = 100

   • Segment 2

     • State Date = 01/03/XXXX

     • End Date  = 12/31/XXXX

     • Qualifying Date = 12/31/XXXX

     • Percent  = 0

8. Click Accept to save the record
