Payroll Control Setting for Generate Remain Salary when Remain Pay is 1

With Payroll Encumbering, does the control setting to pay out employees remaining pay when they have one pay left, need to be set to Yes and can it only apply to certain employees?

In Payroll Control Settings (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Payroll Control Settings):

• The setting for, Generate - Generate remain salary when Remain Pay = 1, does not have to be set to Yes in order to use Payroll Encumbering.
  1. When this setting is set to Y, it will generate the Remaining Salary instead of the Period Salary amount when the remaining pay is at 1.
  2. When this setting is set to N, it will take the Period Salary amount when the remaining pay is at 1.
• This setting cannot be setup to only apply to certain employees.
