Deleting an account does not remove it from the reference account field of associated accounts

Resolution

Work ticket MUN-452272 is open with development to address this issue. The steps below can be used to verify that the account in question is not listed as a reference account.

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of Accounts > Account Master

  1. Search

  2. Enter the account you'll be deleting into the Reference account field at the bottom of the screen

  3. Accept

    1. If no accounts are returned the account in question can be deleted without further updates being made

    2. If records are returned, the reference account should be updated or changed so that the account to be deleted isn't listed as a Reference account
