Delete Charge Code From an Exemption Code
Description of Issue
Need to delete a Charge Code or Codes from an Exemption Code so that it is no longer associated with the Exemption Code.
Context
- Property Tax Billing
- Exemption Codes (arexdmnt)
Cause
The Charge Code or Codes need to be removed from the Exemption Code.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Exemption Codes program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Assessor Setup > Exemption Codes
- Click Search.
- Enter the Code that needs to have a Charge Code deleted off of it.
- Click Accept.
- Click Exemption Charges in the top ribbon.
- Click Delete.
- A message appears: Are you sure you want to delete this record from the database?
- Click Yes, Delete to delete the record or No to cancel.
Additional Information
- If an Exemption Charge is deleted and needs to be re-added, please see the steps found here: Add Charge Code to Exemption Code
- Adding a Charge Code to an Exemption Code causes that exemption or abatement to only affect the added charge or charges. If an Exemption Code has no Exemption Charges, the exemption or abatement will be split between all of the bills charges.
