Manually Creating a New Admin Account in ESS

Description of Issue

Trying to manually create a new ESS Admin account and "Is Administrator" is grayed out

Context
  • ESS

  • Employee Self Service

  • Administration

  • Permissions/Access

Cause

The functionality was introduced in a work ticket while addressing some other ESS admin issues/functionality

Resolution
  • When manually creating your new ESS account make sure to flag Is Active and Is Employee and hit Save

  • Once the account is saved, click on User Administration to back out to the Main User Administration page

  • Search for your new ESS account and click on Details

  • Is Administrator should now be an available option to select

a. If you are setting up an admin only account, you can also unselect the Is Employee flag at this time

b. Make sure to click on the Administrator tab and select which admin rights the account should have access to
